1. Grand Canal
The Grand Canal is the center of attractions in Venice, it flows through the middle of the city and hence serves as the main highway of the City. All the major activities are in fact happens around the Grand Canal. There are about 4 pedestrian bridges over it in the city.

2. Piazza San Marco
Piazza San Marco is certainly the central square of Venice. It is in front of the Basilica of St Mark and often crowded during summers. As a big public piazza, so it is surrounded by many restaurants. Sometimes the whole piazza goes under water during high tide. It is a one of the prominent attractions in Venice.

Doge’s Palace is next to the St Marks Cathedral. It was the house of Doge of Venice. It’s built-in Venetian Gothic style. Behind the building Bridge of Sighs passes over canal Rio del Palazzo, it’s basically built with white limestone and is very popular among tourists.

6. St Mark’s Campanile
Rising over Piazza San Marco, Campanile di San Marco also known as cathedral tower gives an aerial view of the city. It is one of the best spots to explore the city.

7. Chiesa di San Giorgio Maggiore
The church is on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. It’s pretty highlighted because of a picturesque space and gives a view of Venice from its tower too. Take a small ride to cross the end of the Grand Canal to reach here.
