Landscapes of Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is one of the most happening places in the world. It is famous for its carnivals and parties. This unique historical city has many natural attractions. Mountains at the back holding Tijuca National Park, which is the biggest urban national park, Christ the Redeemer is the top attraction. Iguaçu National Park and Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Waterfalls are the main attraction of the park. It is one of the new seven wonders of nature. These 275 falls are in the Iguazu River bent at the border of Brazil and Argentina. There are thousands of plants and animal species living here. Visitors can get a flight to the nearest city of Foz do Iguaçu. Park entrance is just 5 mins from the airport.

Amazon jungle are the largest rain forests in the world. it is covering more than half of Brazil. Along with Amazon river, it covers 9 north and west states of the country. It is also the biggest bio-diverse ecosystem on the planet. Amazonas state is the largest in Brazil and has the highest percent of the jungles. It’s capital Manaus is a popular gateway for reaching Amazons.

Pantanal is the largest freshwater wetlands biodiversity in the world. wetland is spread between 2 states of Brazil in Pantanal Matogrossense National Park. Wetlands are home to many species, such as alligators. Pantanal also has jaguars in its grasslands. Best time to explore Pantanal is during dry months when the water level is low.

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park

It’s certainly one of the most awesome places on earth. White sand dunes of the desert and crystal-clear water ponds captured in between is just perfect scenic spot. Just 4 hrs. from San Luis and an hour from Barreirinhas in north Brazil. it’s close to equator. Swimming in the lagoons and walking of the sand are enjoyable in this vast landscape. Sunsets are spectacular here.
