1. Brandenburg Gate

The iconic landmark of Berlin. It’s most attractive and one of the most visited attractions in Berlin. Built in 1791, it was one of the many city gates of Berlin. The gate has relevance history of it. It was damaged during the war but restored earlier this century. It’s close to the Reichstag building.

2. Reichstag Building

Reichstag is a symbol of democracy and the home of the German parliament. It’s Just a kilometer from Hauptbahnhof. there are tours available here. you can go top of its glass dome for panoramic views.

3. Holocaust memorial

Next to Brandenburg Gate, A memorial site called ‘Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe’. also known as the Holocaust Memorial. It has 2711 concrete blocks of variable heights. The place is open from all sides.

4. East Side Gallery

It’s more than a kilometer-long open-air gallery of painted remaining pieces of Berlin wall. East Side Gallery is next to the river Spree in the south-eastern part of the city. Wall pieces are standing on the very wide sidewalk, which means it is accessible anytime and of course no fee.

5. Alexander Platz

Alexanderplatz is a large historical public square and also another transport hub in Berlin. It’s a very active place, you can find many shops and restaurants around it. Fernsehturm is a TV tower of Berlin with an observation deck and a revolving restaurant on the top, giving a panoramic view of the city.

6. Berlin Wall memorial

Berlin Wall memorial is a preserved section of Wall and a Memorial to the victims of the wall. Its located on Bernauer Straße near Berlin Nordbahnhof metro station.

7. Museum Island

Museum Island is north half of the island, it has 5 major museums Pergamonmuseum, Bode-Museum, Neues Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie and  Altes Museum. Museum Island served as a UNESCO world heritage site. Berlin Cathedral church is also located on the museum island.

8. Potsdamer Platz

If you walk little south from Holocaust Memorial, you will reach Potsdamer Platz. It’s a historical square which is now very active with shops, marketplace and restaurants and also few high rise buildings around it.

9. Checkpoint Charlie

The Checkpoint Charlie was the former border crossing point between Eastern and Western Berlin during the cold war. it’s still located on the same spot and a very interesting place to visit.

10. Gendarmenmarkt

The Gendarmenmarkt is one of the prominent public squares in Berlin. Its located in the central Mitte district. Its has there marvelous buildings with stunning architecture, standing on three sides. French Cathedral in the north and German Cathedral in the south, and a Concert hall in the middle.  Square is very lively and the atmosphere is enhanced by shopping streets around.
