1. Colosseum

Rome has many attractions and Colosseum is definitely one of the attractions getting most of the visitors in Rome. This grand amphitheater used to host famous gladiators fight in front of the Romans. The place is often crowded, but worth your time. Pictures and models are showcased on the first level.

2. Vatican City

The Holy Place of Christianity and home of the Pope. The Vatican has St Peters Basilica with grand dome visible from far. The Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums, Vatican Gardens, and a huge St Peters square, which you would have seen packed with people during ceremonies. Reach early or advance book your tickets to avoid standing in line for about an hour.

3. Roman Forum and Palatino Hill

It’s a complex with ruins of many Roman buildings, Roman Forum, Squares, public architecture, temples and home of Cesar on the top of Palatino Hill as well. There are many small ruins to explore in the complex. Its next to Colosseum and ticket include entry to both buildings.

4. Pantheon

Built by Romans as a temple of all the Gods, now it served as a Church. This Marvelous structure is hidden between the small streets. this temple makes you feel small because of its high columns and a huge dome. Pantheon is two-thousand-year-old, well preserved and visitors favorite.

5. Trevi Fountain

Shining water falling from the sculptures in The Trevi district of Rome. Fountains are one of the oldest in Rome and most popular visiting spot. People make a wish and throw a coin in the waters. The place is crowded often and sometimes it’s hard to get a space. The fountain looks beautiful during night lights.

6. Piazza di Spagna

A good public hangout place. famous for 18th-century Spanish steps. this place is often busy but find a place to sit on the steps and relax with gelato. As well as a Tourist spot, this place is also local’s hangout space too. there are many cafes and restaurants around as well.

7. Castel Sant’Angelo

Castle is a museum complex next to Tiber river. Initially, it was a mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian and his family but later turned into a fortress. It has a very different circular design. The Vatican is straight visible from here and a place to take a good picture. Castel is not very crowded like other attractions but it is a hidden gem of attractions in Rome.

8. Piazza del Popolo

Piazza is a grand urban square in the north of the old city center. It is marked by many historical buildings and three churches around. Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo in the north, Santa Maria dei Miracoli, Santa Maria in Montesanto in the south. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants in the streets leading from here.

9. Piazza Navona

Piazza is a large north to the south open public square. It has three big fountains, Fontana di Nettuno in the north, Fontana dei Fiumi in the middle and Fontana del Moro in the south. 17^th-century church Sant’Agnese in Agone in the center of the 250 m long piazza. This place is alive and a good spot to relax a bit.

10. Altare della Patria and Piazza Venezia

It is a big square facing Altare della Patria. A memorial white marble monument. it’s not a pedestrian square, but a node of many streets. In front of it, there is an old city and markets. on the left Via(road) dei Fori Imperiali leads to Colosseum within a kilometer.
