Darwin International Airport – 12 km north of city centre, web: darwinairport.com.au

Darwin Railway Station – 20 km from city center, it’s the Main railway station. Trains to Adelaide twice weekly (Ghan train). Station is open on train operating days. there are no luggage store. more info at greatsouthernrail.com.au 
 
Darwin Bus Interchange – bus terminal, Harry Chan Avenue, Darwin City, Phone: 08 8924 7666, More information, Bus to Alice Springs cost about A$265 and takes upto 20-24 hours.
Getting around

Public Transport: Paper tickets are available onboard a bus or at bus interchange. These are issued only for single ticket and daily tickets. for Multi tickets and weekly tickets, you need to get a Tap and Ride card. Tap and Ride cards are rechargeable top up cards. 
Tickets: Single ticket (3hrs) A$3, Daily A$7 valid till service lasts, Multi trips (10 trips/3hrs each) A$20, Weekly ticket(7 days) A$20.

Beaches:
Mindil Beach: One of the popular beach of Darwin, the beach holds sunset markets between April and October. Vesteys Beach: another beach on Fannie bay, northwestern part of Darwin. Lameroo Beach: small beach close to CBD. Casuarina Beach: Little far in the north, about 15 km from CBD. there are some other small beaches around.

George Brown Botanic Gardens: 42 hectares of garden, north of Darwin city.
